MOUNT ZION FILM PRODUCTIONS BLAZES THE TRAIL IN GOSPEL CINEMA

Christian films have been moving by leaps and bounds since the first film screening in August 1903 at the Glover Memorial Hall in Lagos. With little noise but a huge impact, the Gospel film industry has not relented in its effort to create intriguing and superlative cinematic experiences. In addition, the democratisation of technology and the proliferation of distribution channels helped the gospel film industry gain more visibility and penetration.
The last few months have been incredible, particularly for the number of exciting films Mount Zion Film Productions have released, one after the other, from the first titled-ENOCH.
ENOCH is based on the true life story of Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God. This beautiful biopic covers his life, calling and ministry from the beginning. This film was produced by Mount Zion Film Productions and Solid Rock Foundation and released a few weeks back on Damilola Mike-Bamiloye’s YouTube channel.
The release of ENOCH has generated awesome buzz in the media and worldwide, as people can view what Pastor E. A. Adeboye was about in the early years. In its first week of release, Damilola Mike-Bamiloye’s YouTube channel recorded over a million views of ENOCH in four days and is currently above 2.6 million views.
“ENOCH” stars talented actors and actresses, including Adeola Abolaji, Adedeji Adekunle, Ojo Ayomide Emmanuel, Tomiwa Grace Samson, Olaleye Olumuyiwa, Oluwayemisi Ayodele, Emmanuel Adejorin Zion, Wole Olaleye, M. Zion Adejorin, Omolara Ayoola, Mojisola Ogunlana, Mike Bamiloye, Gloria Bamiloye, Adebobola Isaiah, Oyinwola Elizabeth, Olaleye Esther, Ifeoluwa George, Taiwo Damilola Taiwo, Aderibigbe Emmanuel, Ifeoluwa Jembi and Bolanle Adenuga, who delivered stunning performances that brought the characters to life on the big screen.
A few weeks after the release of ENOCH, another project was released by Mount Zion Film Productions titled-30 PIECES.
Following anticipation from viewers as a snippet from 30 PIECES made its way online in November 2022. The momentum was sustained, and it currently has a million views on YouTube and testimonies from people worldwide.
It is funny how many thought it was just the story of Judas betraying Jesus according to the Bible, but it was creatively beyond that. 30 PIECES is a movie of sound intelligence and beautiful designs, and the storytelling is captivating, the acting is top-notch, the music is wholesome, the cinematography is gorgeous, and the resolution and editing are appealing.
Mount Zion Film Productions keeps raising the bar with every project released and currently outdoing itself, especially with the most recent project, RECITATION. The new project was released about four weeks ago and has had 727k views in the first ten days of its release. The story explores the power of prayer and its role in shaping our lives daily. It features Darasimi Gomba-Oyor and The Winlos (Anwili & Ohis Ojeikere), among others.
