ENJOY THE UNIQUE CINEMA EXPERIENCE IN IKORODU

Cinemas are practically places for relaxation with viewing relief from stress, fatigue and could be for fun. Movies are being created just to satisfy the need for entertainment. The larger than life cinema screens with the surround sounds give a sense of immersion and cut away from the hustling and bustling of the metropolis. For the residents and visitors of Ikorodu Local Government Area in Lagos State, a lot has happened to aid development in this area, newly established cinemas are one of the major good things that have happened to Ikorodu.

Funnily, not so many are aware of this latest development. A lot of people still travel outside Ikorodu to visit cinemas and see movies. These newly owned cinemas are gradually gaining grounds, creating awareness, and quite affordable in prices and closer in proximity.

The first on the list is, ‘Dream Park Cinemas’, this cinema is a lot in one. It is a complete family delight hub and located at, Dream Park and Gardens by Hilltop Estate arc, off radio bus stop, Obafemi Awolowo Road, Itamaga, Ikorodu, Lagos. Mr Afolabi Olawale who’s the founder and chairman of Dream Park Cinema is said to have had the vision since 2007 and it remained till its actualization in later years as a dream come true.

Dream Park Cinema is sure surviving as a result of being owned by a visionary man who’s obsessed with his passion for strong family values and children in general. To help with the cinema’s survival, to retain customers and to catch the interest of everyone that visits the cinema, there are a lot of other allied services and attractions to keep the business of the cinema running. Dream park has a swimming pool, a gym center, an amphitheater, an outdoor playground, restaurant, games and sports center.

Dream Park Cinema has a 4 screen world-class cinema with digital screening, Dolby stereo sound and, 3D screening. Dream Park Cinema operates 7days a week between the hours of 11am to 10pm. Any of the latest movies can be seen in Dream Park Cinema according to movie scheduling for each day at a ticket price as low as a thousand naira (#1,000) between Mondays to Thursdays and three thousand naira(#3,000) for every adult on weekends.

Next on the list is, Oasis Cinemas located at, 6, Ewuala Street, Labi Oasis bus stop, off T.O.S Benson Road, Ikorodu, Lagos. In Oasis Cinema, screening and exhibition of movies take place there as well as stage drama. Oasis cinema basically runs on the services of the other arms which are the, multi-purpose hall and, a hotel which is built just beside it.

Oasis cinema is a 2D cinema that’s quite closer for the residents in Ikorodu to access with an affordable price for viewing. Oasis is open for patronage 6days a week between the hours of 8am to 8pm from Monday to Fridays and, 10am to 10pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Oasis started about three years ago and, it has come to stay.

Having these cinemas in Ikorodu has been a great privilege for those who stay or visit the small city consecutively. These cinemas are affordable and would as well help in saving fare to move out of Ikorodu to see movies and save people from stress. The good thing is, they have back up businesses which help in their constant running and daily activities.
